The Altru Clinic - Lake Region is a 10 physician and 3 physician extender, multi-specialty group consisting of five family practitioners, three general internists, a gastroenterologist, and one surgeon.
The facility also offers mammography services by certified technicians and a CLIA certified laboratory.
Consulting Services are provided in urology, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology (cancer specialist), pediatrics, cardiology, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat specialist), podiatry, neurology, and audiology.

QUALITY LABORATORY SERVICE
Altru Clinic-Lake Region's Laboratory Services has met all criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA (Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation), a national healthcare accreditation organization. Accreditation is given only to laboratories that apply rigid standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing, and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey. Altru Clinic-Lake Region has earned COLA accreditation as a result of a long-term commitment to provide quality service to its patients.
COLA is a nonprofit, physician directed organization promoting quality and excellence in medicine and patient care through programs of voluntary education, achievement, and accreditation.
COLA is approved by the federal government and sponsored by the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the College of American Pathologists, and the American Osteopathic Association.

Mammography Achieving advanced training specific to mammography and passing the mammography boards. The Altru Clinic-Lake Region is a Federally certified Mammography Provider using state-of-the-art equipment. The accreditation ensures that qualified personnel perform the mammograms, and that the equipment meets specific standards so that the patient will receive the best mammography exam with the least possible risk. The Altru Clinic-Lake Region is proud to be recognized for the high quality of service that we provide to our patients. The Mammography Department has the distinction of always passing the annual FDA inspection, and has been re-accredited for a three year Certification of Mammography through the ACR on a routine basis. |
